Water refill app design
ReeFill
MessApps designed ReeFill, a water refill app with onboarding, account access, station discovery, and activation flows for people refilling bottles on the go.
The project brief
ReeFill was conceived for people who wanted to refill a bottle with tap water while away from home instead of buying bottled water. The service connected users with stations supplying cold, filtered tap water.
The product challenge was to make finding and using a refill station intuitive. The app let users search for a nearby station, review its information, connect with it, and activate a refill with one button.
MessApps documented wireframes for onboarding, login, two-step registration, map and list views for station discovery, station information, activation, and activity tracking. This design work introduced the service and connected account access with the refill journey.
The interface included an activity tracker showing water consumption and estimates of bottles and money saved, including a city-level bottle count. These were app features, not verified environmental or financial results.
MessApps also documented branding work covering the app icon, Museo Sans typography, and color scheme, aiming for a clean, minimal interface that was enjoyable to use. The gallery preserves historical screen references; it does not establish current station or app availability.
The work, in more than one frame.
